Whetu Challenge

 

Today on Whetu Challenge I worked with Kian , Chris what well is nothing because when we were working it sudden fall so I think are is the smallest one . The hardest part about it was we trying to put it together it was very hard but all we got was the base and three rolls of newspaper so I think it's 37 cm.

This week on play Play , Make , Create I build with Nathan Desmond my material was cardboard , tape , scissors , maker .

Kites Day

For Kites day we me and Desmond built a kite with these material tape , sticks , bamboo , string , plastic it was in the class at the QZ then we fly it at the field it did fly for a bit but then it broke because it kept hitting the ground but what work well was us building the kite itself we put everything together it was great until it broke.  What I would change would be not put that much tape on because I didn't  go so well but I think that was fun.

Play , Make , Create Be You!

  This week for Play , Make ,Create I use the materials of brown paper , pencil , egg carting , tape , cardboard  I worked well on the drawing of the map I created a map witha boat and a chest I didn't work with anyone I would change the chest because it was broken so I had to make it worked and maybe the boat because it kind of broken but not broken. 

Term 2, Week 1 2021

 During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on diamond level of NumBots.  

I enjoy NumBots because I get to learn my adding and subtracting then completing story mode.

What I find challenging is the challenges in NumBots especially level 20 and 19 then some of subtracting. 

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. 

I think that TTRockstars is a good game about time tables it pretty hard but i got use to it I went down 3 miler second it was really hard to get back up but I think I may go back up.

This week for Play , Make , Create I worked with Kian a boat all of the material we use was tape , buttons ,  sticks , pipecleaners the good parts about it taping everything together the hard parts was putting everything together overall it was fun.

Whetu Fun Day

 My favourite part of the Amazing Race was me and my group running around in the town but I especially the Four Squre me and Desmond we in the shop and try to find the price of the Starbrusts

The rotation I enjoyed the most was P.E because I like how we all were competitive it was fun and we were getting alots of beanbag

During the Easter Egg Hunt I found my stick at the sandpit but next to it was a tree that was under it that was super fast when I found it the popsicle and easter egg were taste

Math Mystery

 This week on Math Mystery I worked with Gursahib and the hard bit was the 4 clues and the last clue was really easy the first time we did it we got it wrong now when we retry it we got it right it was molly it was fun and easy/hard 

Play, Make, Create

 This week for Play, Make , Create the material that me and Gursahib use was Green paper, Barks, , Cardboard, Red purple and Orange cellaphone , Red paper  Glue stick, Tape , Pencil, Shanpie. The easily thing for the Play, Make , Create was glueing everything and the hard bit was making the tent overall it was fun.

 This week on Play , Make , Create  it was about a giraffe that can't dance then got the right music and start to dance I built a giraffe with Christopher and Gursahib the material that we use was cardboard tape sting and a maker with scissors the hard part was to tape the neck then the easy part was tape on the legs all of that was really fun.

 This week for Play, Make , Create I build a boat with Kian we started with woods we maded the boat and then build a tree then tie a rope on it the wood tree so the other person pull it but if it break we have a mouder but if that break we have a backup mouder. Then we had a fishing rod for someone to use and we have a big bag to throw at the fishs then when we get a lot of fish we put it in a smaller bag for bait if it attack us we have electricity then two paddles then we have fireworks as a ball and then a life boat which have cutting things a bag to catch fishs and fireworks ball.

 This week I built a bridge with my friends it was not the best but I think it was good the material that I use is wood and that it we had a fun time the fun part was plutting the woods then take the photo even when I didn't walk on the bridge and the easy was to put the bridge together no hard parts about it.

Week 5, Term 1, 2021

 Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I raced 2 times and I did both of them give it a go it was nervous racing but still I was happy after I did it but when it was over  I was glad.

We had two art sessions this week and it is turning out really well we are doing a good job and I like the way it is turning out and on my draft we are picking a background by testing out the color. 

In reading this week we have a good silent reading time I like adventure books and when it is homeroom time we read a book sometimes and it is funny also a crazy one.

Part of our maths programme is NumBots and I think I’m am doing really good I like to play the math game for a long time and my rank is diamond the game is about playing story get coins use the coins to upgrade your robot and the goal is to get up to diamond when you go up to tin you unlock challenge mode.

Week 4, Term 1, 2021

 

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is Playtime because I get it be a outside and get to play seaweed I like to play as the runner but sometime the tagger 

We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs Heaven and Mrs Loft.  Our art is going to be Modigliani art it really good I how the drawing right and I’m really excited to see the end and I like how it turning out right now 

We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look Amazing but none of my family member could able to come but like how the photo and I think they look good

Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling scared I do not like swimming sport because I really not good at swimming but guess I’m a little bit excited

Someone who has helped me with my learning this year is Levi F when I was doing the slide and he told me how to the last slide and I told him thanks.

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is Numbots I've been playing and now it has been really fun. I like it easy but now it is getting pretty hard but I still like it.

One word that describes learning in Whetu is Fun, Great, Amazing, Nice and Good.

Something I am looking forward to is The art that we picked. I did it last year and it was really fun so I’m looking forward to the art.
